I&#8217;ve been enjoying <a href=\"http:\/\/theartofdave.blogspot.com\/\">Dave Jones<\/a>&#8216;s blogging of the build over\u00a0the last couple of months, so it&#8217;s great to see the puppet come to life. \u00a0The daytime <a href=\"http:\/\/theartofdave.blogspot.com\/2011\/10\/making-of-giant-puppet-part-6-face-tech.html\">rehearsal photos<\/a> give better perspective on her size and the task of \u00a0puppeteering her. Phoebe was named by the kids at the local school, and the plan was to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?NR=1&amp;v=eZZnqqBqFxM\">project talking animations<\/a> drawn by the kids onto her face. I wonder if that was possible in the very windy conditions on the night.<\/p>\n<p>The silos have been used for <a href=\"http:\/\/spiritsdancing.com\/sdblog\/2007\/04\/25\/puppetry-and-dancing-at-altitude\/\">aerial dance and puppetry<\/a> before.<\/p>\n<p>Dave also makes\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/theartofdave.blogspot.com\/2009\/10\/exhibition-set-up.html\">lovely puppets<\/a> from wire and other rusty farm-type bits and pieces of metal.
