(The software and hosting are only for evaluation at present, courtesy of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scripting.com\/\">Dave Winer<\/a> &#8211; thank you!) so the blog is likely only temporary). I haven&#8217;t had time to explore yet, except to have a play with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theunseenvideo.com\/\">unseen weather video<\/a>. I put a few stills from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/37996586683@N01\/112117662\/in\/pool-theunseenvideo\/\">my version <\/a>in the pool at Flickr. They look dry and late summery compared to the European ones, don&#8217;t they?<\/p>\n<p>The <del>design<\/del> that got best designed is unusual, lush and colourful. I like it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/laughingsquid.com\/\">Squid<\/a>: Laughing Squid&#8217;s blog for all things squid. Love the <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20091122043429\/http:\/\/store.muledesign.com:80\/shirts\/squidoverlords.php\">Welcome squid overloards<\/a> t-shirt. But probably not as much as this silly <del>blog t-shirt<\/del>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/laughingsquid.com\/2006\/03\/10\/brides-of-march\/\">Brides of March<\/a>. I really liked San Francisco the few days I&#8217;ve spent there. Whenever I read <a href=\"http:\/\/laughingsquid.com\/\">Laughing Squid<\/a> I think what fun SF could be to live in and be part of.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/1\/hi\/entertainment\/4425398.stm\">More Jane Austen TV adaptations<\/a> : that Andrew Davies is writing the screenplay for <em>Sense and Sensibility<\/em> assuages some of my feelings that the JA popularity wave is getting out of hand.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of Austen, <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20071012093801\/http:\/\/www.learnandteachonline.com\/node\/356\">this<\/a> made me laugh.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.last.fm\/\">Last.fm<\/a>: an open source music\/social networking site (via <a href=\"http:\/\/doc.weblogs.com\/\">Doc Searls<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><del>Articulate<\/del>, the ABC&#8217;s arts blog, is blogging the Adelaide Festival of Arts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsvine.com\/\">Newsvine<\/a>: an innovative and possibly fundamental change in news sites. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seancoon.org\/2006\/03\/newsvine_the_wisdom_of_the_crowd.html\">Here <\/a>is an enthusiastic rundown on it.
