I hope it will mean more blogging and maybe revamping my website, but much of the time at the moment I&#8217;m just feeling like reading and watching DVDs, and doing crosswords and sudokus.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m posting some favourite beach photos to celebrate my birthday today. These first two are of <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com.au\/?ie=UTF8&amp;t=h&amp;om=1&amp;ll=-35.426285,138.31981&amp;spn=0.012537,0.020084&amp;z=16\">Carrickalinga North Bay<\/a>, alternatively Dame Roma Mitchell Bay, in South Australia, taken by my son, <a href=\"http:\/\/cutflat.net\/\">Tim Raupach<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/37996586683@N01\/617023434\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1353\/617023434_e0d4a36c80.jpg\" alt=\"Carrickalinga\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/37996586683@N01\/616385193\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1178\/616385193_673b07b73e.jpg\" alt=\"Carrickalinga\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kids always have favourite colour, but as an adult you often don&#8217;t. After years of not having a specific favourite, I realised that this almost-not-there nearly transparent turquoise is mine. I find it almost achingly beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>Then there is this one taken on the wild east coast of Tasmania on the northern beach of <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com.au\/?ie=UTF8&amp;t=h&amp;om=1&amp;ll=-42.21072,145.21625&amp;spn=0.045582,0.080338&amp;z=14\">Macquarie Heads<\/a>, looking out to &#8230; South Africa. The straight is called <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hell%27s_Gates_%28Tasmania%29\">Hell&#8217;s Gates<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/37996586683@N01\/616283141\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm2.static.flickr.com\/1037\/616283141_f793c61a5b.jpg\" alt=\"East coast, Tasmania\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It turns out my ankle has a fractured bone, so I now have a cast on it for the next six weeks.
